Hourly Rate

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $33.83 ou/or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027) Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate. These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Requirements and Nature of Work

Assist students in the laboratory and in other related tasks. Grade laboratory reports and the final exam. Lead a review session for the final exam and invigilate the final exam. Ensure the implementation of safety guidelines in the laboratory. Please note: Some sections may be bilingual.

Minimum Requirements

The candidate must have successfully completed one year of general chemistry, one year of organic chemistry, and one 4000-level organic chemistry course, or their equivalents. Candidates must have successfully completed the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) workshop. Anyone who is not a graduate student (Master's or PhD) in Chemistry must pass a qualification test in order to be eligible.
