CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Clinical Research Coordinator. We are looking for a highly motivated Research Coordinator that will support a variety of clinical projects including; databases, transition to adult care, robotics, apps and cutting-edge technology in pediatric rehabilitation. The successful candidate will lead multiple studies for two principal investigators, including research coordination, data collection, management and analysis, proposal development and submission, budget monitoring, reporting, and supervision of our Research Assistant. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Under the general supervision of the Medical Director Development and Rehabilitation, the Clinical Research Coordinator will: Liaise with research team staff, clinicians, patients, families and clinical collaborators Ensure efficient day-to-day operation of research data collection protocols and data analysis activities Prepare submissions to the REB including consent/assent form and research protocols development Responsible for patient recruitment, including screening and obtaining informed consent/assent Responsible for administering standardized clinical assessments Responsible for the collection and scoring of research information in REDCap Track patient progress and coordinate follow-ups Ensure data entry of all measures and surveys are done in a timely manner, as well as quality control Budgetary monitoring/invoicing for study-related expenses Negotiate study budgets and prepare contract submissions Assist with grants, report writing, preparing presentations, posters and publications Notify affiliated physicians of any clinical therapy or study protocol concerns Organize and facilitate meetings associated with research activities Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the research team QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES Degree in health-related field and minimum 2 years relevant experience (Essential) GCP, ICH, Health Canada Division 5 certifications (Essential) Understanding of research design, guidelines and standards governing clinical research (Essential) Understanding of the Personal Health Information Protection Act (Essential) Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of research related software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, literature search engines, Reference Manager or equivalent) (Essential) Advanced knowledge and practice of statistical software, including SPSS and REDCap (Essential) Previous experience in report writing, publication and communication briefs (Essential) Outstanding organizational, accountability and time management skills (Essential) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and think critically (Essential) Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment (Essential) Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Essential) Excellent inter-personnel skills (Essential) Bilingualism (English/French) (Preferred) WORKING CONDITIONS Clinic setting work within hospital; exposure to children and parents and/or caregivers seen in the Development and Rehabilitation Department. Flexibility to work remotely in a hybrid work model that would include both remote work and on-site work. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Eligible to work in Canada; Compliance with CHEO RI’s occupational health, immunization, and health‑surveillance requirements, as applicable to the role and work environment.
