The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed educators to join our team for: 2026-2027 International Languages Secondary Teacher - Continuing Education Overview The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking intermediate/senior qualified teachers to fill Continuing Education International Language teaching and/or supply teaching positions, weekends or evenings, for the 2026-2027 school year. Instructional delivery is through Synchronous and Asynchronous platforms according to a predetermined schedule. These platforms will be used to deliver learning expectations virtually through the use of Google Classroom as the Learning Management Platform and Google Meet for class meetings. Teachers may also wish to incorporate other vetted applications and resources that have been pre-approved by the OCDSB. Program Schedule Saturday Program duration: September 26, 2026 till June 19, 2027 Class times: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Location: Virtual Salary : $56.84/hour + 4% in lieu of vacation (108.5 hours) Course Offerings View the course offerings by clicking on this link for the 2026-2027 International Languages Secondary Teacher Course Offerings . Qualifications & Requirements Intermediate & Senior qualifications with the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing) at the time of application; Fluency in one or more of the target languages; Teaching experience, with preference to teaching experience of the target language; Teachers must have sufficient access to technology and reliable internet. Application Process There is only ONE posting for the 2026-27 International Languages Session . All teachers (with or without Continuing Education (CE) Seniority) can apply to this posting. As per the Collective Agreement, applicants with CE Seniority who appear on the June 2026 Continuing Education Seniority List and hold the required qualifications will be offered positions first. If there are positions still available after all teachers with CE Seniority who applied to this posting have been placed, teachers without CE Seniority may be offered an interview based on their qualifications. Interviews will be offered in accordance with Policy P.146.HR Equitable Recruitment, Hiring and Promotion and on the basis of qualifications, abilities, knowledge and experience. Staffing Timelines Offers of work will begin the third week of September 2026 and continue until October 12, 2026 latest. All offers will be sent via email to the address on record in Apply to Education by the Principal of Continuing Education. Offers will have specific response parameters, including timelines for acceptance/decline. Where acceptances are not received within the timeframe specified in the email, it will be assumed that you are declining the offer of work. All offers of employment will be conditional upon the program running for the 2026-2027 session. PLEASE NOTE: As a condition of employment, all new employees will be required to submit a valid Police Record Check for the vulnerable sector completed within the last six months as a part of their onboarding documents.
