Description of Tasks

Requirements and Nature of Work

A SSHRC-funded research position to assist in identifying and documenting relevant critical developments in ecocriticism and the environmental humanities in Victorian studies. The RA will research, document, organize, and annotate a bibliography of literary criticism; use citation indexes to identify research trends; research, document, and summarize reviews from scholarly journals

Qualifications

• PhD candidate, post-comprehensive examinations
• Familiarity with ecocriticism, Victorian literature, the novel
• Superior research, writing, and organizational skills

Compensation

Hourly Rate: AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor: $31.89 or $50.25 (2024-2025)

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.
