Course Description

Exploration of theories and practices associated with approaches that foster positive behavior and build community; examines values and principles of different approaches and their application to individual students, classrooms, schools and the community in an effort to create healthy, safe and supportive learning environments.

Requirements

• Masters degree in education
• Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
• Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
• Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers
