Course Description

Introduction à la méthodologie et aux méthodes de recherche théoriques et empiriques. Repérage et utilisation critique des résultats de recherches portant sur l'enseignement et l'apprentissage. Compréhension du rôle des recherches quantitatives, qualitatives et participatives pour améliorer la pratique d'enseignement et favoriser le développement professionnel.

Requirements / Exigences

Minimum Requirements / Exigences minimales:

• Master's degree in Education; Preference will be given to a Ph.D. in Education in learning assessment.
• At least one of the following:
  • Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administrative experience within a school board, including two years implementing the Ontario Curriculum with a specialist qualification in Secondary School Teaching
  • Current, peer-reviewed research record in Secondary School Teaching
  • Recent Ph.D. comprehensive examination in Secondary School Teaching
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario context with respect to the subject matter of the course to be taught.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers.

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
