Course Description

Definition of culture. Impact of culture on psychological processes (e.g., cognitive development, sensation and perception, social behaviour). Communication across cultures. Ethnic relations in a multicultural society including racism, racialization and xenophobia. Psychological effects of culture change. Mental health and well-being among immigrants and refugees. Culture-centred assessment and psychotherapy. Current research in cultural psychology.

• Ph.D. in Psychology / Advanced knowledge in Cross-Cultural Psychology

A replacement can be assigned for the missed course, this will be your responsibility to organize in the case where you cannot hold the scheduled class and respect the assigned mode of the course.
