Examination of theoretical understanding, practical applications and resources appropriate for the Junior kindergarten/Senior kindergarten classroom; topics will include developmentally appropriate practices, theories of play, the current Ontario curriculum, assessment and evaluation, and emergent/early literacy and numeracy.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in education
  • Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
  • Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
  • Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers
