Course Description

Examination of instructional and assessment strategies, models of inquiry and critical thinking, strategies for transitions and approaches to curriculum integration relevant to the intermediate division (grade 7 to grade 10); examination of relevant Ontario Curriculum and other resources; examination of current Ministry initiatives and policies.

Requirements

• Masters degree in education;
• Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario;
• Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level;
• Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers.

The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.
