Course Description

Principles of food service management within healthcare facilities, small businesses, and other institutions. In-depth analysis of operational policies and procedures related to procurement, distribution, management of physical, financial, and human resources. Concepts of food hygiene and safety, as well as quality control and improvement. Introduction to institutional menu planning.

Requirements

Master degree in Nutrition Sciences, Food Sciences, or an equivalent field is required. The candidate must clearly demonstrate in their résumé how their academic background is relevant to the subject matter of the course. Relevant experience in both professional practice and university teaching related to the course is required.

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $239.47 (2024-2025) - Enseignement / Teaching

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.
