Course Description

Theory, issues and strategies of assessment for learning; examination of the Ontario Curriculum grading and reporting policies; development of assessment and grading strategies based on the Ontario Curriculum; competence in the use of technology must be demonstrated.

Hourly Rate: Enseignement / Teaching: $239.47 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31. These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay. These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in education
  • Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
  • Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
  • Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers

The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.
